Students

Leaving Wales and coming to London to study is an exciting time in your life. It can also be a little bit scary! The London Welsh Centre aims to make the big move a little less of a daunting prospect. We aim to be a home from home for students arriving in London and to provide a warm welcome and familiar surroundings.

Although many universities in London once had a Welsh Soc, unfortunately many of these societies have closed down in recent years.

The London Welsh Students Group
We are now running a London-wide society for Welsh students with two aims – putting Welsh students in touch with one another and bringing Welsh students together from all over London through our events at the London Welsh Centre. You can see the London Welsh Student group on facebook.

Can you help us?
The London Welsh Centre is looking for a student from Wales who is currently studying in a university in London to become the LWC Student Officer. You will be a fully-fledged member of the LWC committee and the student voice in the Centre and the voice of the Centre in the student community in London. You will work closely with the Entertainments Officer to organise student events at the Centre and help encourage student membership of the London Welsh Centre.

If this sounds like a role that would suit you, or if you know someone who can help, please contact us!

Students can join the London Welsh Centre for free!
